An initiative launched by two Indian-origin siblings to tackle educational inequalities has grown from neighborhood fundraising into a major charitable campaign, distributing 100,000 books to children, according to reporting by Times of India — Top Stories.
Rohan and Anya Satija founded the Let's Learn Foundation to supply reading materials and mental health support to students in need. The siblings first began their outreach efforts in 2018 by selling cookies and running a lemonade stand, using the small-scale venture to raise awareness about systemic gaps in educational access.
Expanding Outreach Across Texas
Since those early fundraising efforts, the Let's Learn Foundation has expanded significantly across Texas. The organization has reached more than 15,000 students statewide, delivering essential learning materials to individuals who lack consistent access to academic resources.
To manage the logistics of distributing tens of thousands of volumes, the Satija siblings formed partnerships with various community and educational organizations. These collaborative networks have enabled the foundation to channel books directly into schools, community centers, and programs tailored for young learners.
Addressing Mental Health and Educational Equity
In addition to distributing literature, the foundation incorporates mental health support into its core programming. The founders established the platform on the premise that emotional and psychological well-being are closely linked to academic success.
The mission of the Let's Learn Foundation continues to focus on underserved communities throughout the region. By providing targeted resources, the initiative seeks to foster equitable access to education and ensure that socio-economic barriers do not prevent students from obtaining foundational learning tools.
