Former India international Pragyan Ojha has been appointed to chair the men's cricket selection panel, while former spinner Ramesh Powar has joined the committee, according to reporting by Accredited Wire Reports.
The administrative transition places the former national players into key talent evaluation and squad composition roles for the side. Both individuals bring extensive domestic and international playing backgrounds to the selection committee.
Ojha Takes Charge of the Panel
Under the new structure, Ojha steps into the leadership position to oversee the panel's talent scouting and national squad decisions. During his active playing career, the left-arm orthodox bowler represented India across international formats and featured prominently in domestic competition.
His primary responsibility as committee chair will center on managing selection meetings, coordinating with team leadership, and finalizing rosters for upcoming competitive fixtures, according to reporting by Accredited Wire Reports.
Powar Added to Committee Ranks
Joining Ojha on the reconstituted panel is Ramesh Powar, an experienced former off-spinner who previously played international cricket for India and held coaching roles across the domestic and national circuits. Powar’s induction brings additional technical oversight to the group as they assess player form across domestic leagues and multi-format assignments.
Further operational directives and the full composition of the committee are expected to guide the panel's upcoming agenda as the cricket calendar moves forward.
