NEW DELHI — India has formally rejected references made by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation regarding the country's internal affairs, accusing Pakistan of orchestrating the statements, according to reporting by The Hindu — National.
The Ministry of External Affairs addressed the issue following the latest remarks from the international grouping, reaffirming New Delhi's longstanding diplomatic stance on the region and questioning the motives behind the collective's resolutions.
Position on Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh
Responding to the multilateral platform's statements, the Ministry of External Affairs maintained that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable parts of India. Indian officials stated that no external commentary or resolutions could modify the constitutional and sovereign reality of the territories.
The ministry underscored that politically motivated propaganda cannot alter that reality, making clear that the Indian government categorically dismisses foreign attempts to intervene in its domestic sovereign jurisdiction.
Allegations of External Orchestration
Indian authorities pointed directly at Islamabad, alleging that Pakistan remains behind the anti-India references adopted by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. According to the reporting, New Delhi views these diplomatic interventions not as an objective assessment by the grouping, but as an agenda driven systematically by Pakistan to internationalize bilateral disputes.
India has routinely urged international organizations to refrain from allowing their forums to be utilized for narrow political agendas. The latest response from the Ministry of External Affairs highlights ongoing tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad regarding regional sovereignty, with India continuing to reject any outside interference regarding its northern territories.
