MUMBAI — Jio Platforms is advancing toward what is poised to become India's largest initial public offering in a decade, with market analysts projecting significant operational growth and institutional investors demonstrating strong preliminary demand for the Rs 30,000 crore issue.
According to reporting by Accredited Wire Reports, market expert Deven Choksey maintains a bullish stance on the offering, projecting that the company's EBITDA could double over the next four years. The public offering marks a major milestone for the digital and telecommunications arm of Reliance Industries, tracing the business's rapid expansion since its commercial debut in 2016.
Substantial Anchor Demand
Institutional interest in the upcoming public issue has surged ahead of the formal subscription window. Reporting indicates that the anchor portion of the Jio Platforms IPO attracted Rs 2.5 lakh crore in bids from more than 70 institutional investors, underscoring extensive capital interest from domestic and global funds.
Market observers point to the company's scale and dominant presence in the Indian digital ecosystem as primary drivers behind the large order book. The scale of the anchor participation signals solid institutional backing for the mega-offering as it heads into the wider public listing process.
Analyst Sentiment and Growth Projections
Broader market commentary reflects widespread optimism regarding the company's performance once public trading begins. Samir Arora of Helios Capital described the investment proposition of the Jio IPO as straightforward, projecting that the company should perform strongly post-listing.
Since its market entry in 2016, Jio has built out extensive telecommunications and digital services infrastructure across India. Financial analysts anticipate that continued adoption of these platforms, coupled with operational efficiencies, will underpin the anticipated doubling of operational earnings across the four-year horizon.
