A Kashmir-bound bus was attacked in Haryana, where perpetrators confronted the driver and stated they would not allow terrorists in the area, according to reporting by Accredited Wire Reports.
The incident in Haryana was quickly followed by a second attack in neighboring Punjab, where another bus traveling toward Srinagar was targeted with stones near Ludhiana. Police moved to detain suspects shortly after the initial disruption on the transit route.
Consecutive Incidents in Haryana and Punjab
The initial confrontation occurred along the transit corridor in Haryana, where attackers intercepted the Srinagar-bound transport. During the incident, the driver was told, "Won't allow terrorists here," according to wire dispatches citing regional reporting from The Indian Express and NDTV.
The following day, another Delhi-to-Srinagar bus faced a similar assault in Punjab. Dispatches from The Times of India and The New Indian Express confirmed that the vehicle was pelted with stones as it traveled through the Ludhiana area, marking two consecutive days of hostility directed at passenger vehicles heading toward Jammu and Kashmir.
Police Action and Arrests
Law enforcement authorities initiated investigations immediately following the reports of violence on the interstate highway routes. According to The Hindu, police in Haryana took two individuals into custody for their alleged involvement in the initial assault on the Srinagar-bound bus.
Investigators are examining both events as transit authorities monitor passenger security along the key road links connecting New Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu and Kashmir.
